These tensioners are made of anodised aluminium with a steel adjusting screw.

You will be able to fine tune the tension of your chain and lock the position of the adjusting screw with the lock nut. 

There is no risk of the tensioner spring letting go, as there is simply no spring left.

The spring on your original tensioner was used to automate the adjustment according to the wear of the chain.

With our new tensioner, you will only have to adjust it manually from time to time, for example during a service.
